Helper Guide

Ticket Recon ships with three workflows. Each one normalizes your data (merchant, date, amount) so comparisons stay reliable even when the source exports look different.

PO Recon mode

Upload separate PO and credit-card files (CSV/XLSX), then map the required columns.
Matcher runs in up to two passes: first exact cents, then (optionally) your tolerance window.
Each PO is single-use; tie-breaking follows the preference you pick (FIFO/LIFO/closest/delta).
Options such as aggressive merchant normalization, cross-merchant fallback, and absolute amounts broaden matches safely.
Normalize merchants (aggressive): strips punctuation, suffixes, and common noise words so the same vendor formats still match.
Allow cross-merchant fallback: if the primary vendor column has no match, we try other vendors that share the same PO or reference.
Use absolute amounts (ignore +/-): compares absolute values so credits and charges that differ only by sign can reconcile.
Two-pass (0 cents first, then +/- tolerance): we run an exact match pass, then a second pass using your tolerance band to catch near-misses.
Require same sign (credit vs charge): keeps debits matched with debits and credits with credits by enforcing amount sign parity.

Manual Recon (Excel) mode

Point at a single workbook that already has "Data" and "LookUp Values" sheets.
We standardize those sheets and feed the same matching engine; ideal when you already maintain one workbook.
Download the generated Power Query M script to recreate the match natively inside Excel.

Marketplace Recon mode

Join marketplace payout exports to your QuickBooks open-invoice list via external reference / PO.
Flags each payout as OK, Difference, Review, or Missing based on open balance vs payout amount.
Totals card highlights payouts, open balance, and net difference - click a card to sort the results.

Need deeper diagnostics? Open the Settings panel (chip in the header) for row tooltips, hue tweaks, density toggle, and direct access to the Power Query M modal.
